How to Get Help for Your Child

The Children’s Hospital website (http://www.seattlechildrens.org) identifies many resources for helping children in need and their families.

The Parents, Children and Families portion of the website is a rich online resource for evaluating healthcare options, finding community resources, and educating your family about health topics. For example:

  • Children’s Resource Line
Health, development, services, and referral information from a pediatric registered nurse by toll-free telephone
  • Community Resource Guide
A guide to help you find and contact resources to help families who have a child with special health care needs: e-mail, websites, services listed for each resource
  • Children’s Online Health Information
Free source of parenting and child health and development topics about infants, children and teenagers
  • Health and Patient Education Materials
Searchable reference listing of over 2500 child health and patient education materials located in the Family Resource Center at Children's Hospital & Regional Medical Center in Seattle, Washington
  • Child Health Websites
Other websites that have met Children’s criteria for being current and reliable.
